Recently, Shanghai Deyin Technology Co., Ltd. ("Deyin Tech") announced the completion of a Pre-A funding round amounting to tens of millions of RMB. This round was exclusively invested by Solex Ventures, a member of the listed company Solex Technology (603992.SH) group. Following its angel round earlier this year—which received tens of millions in funding from listed company Cenbest (600682.SH) and the ShareJoy Group—this latest investment represents another endorsement from listed corporate capital. It underscores the market's continued recognition of Deyin Tech's technical capabilities and commercial prospects in the field of smart elderly care robotics.
China is entering an aging society at an unprecedented rate. According to data from the Ministry of Civil Affairs, by the end of 2024, the population aged 65 and above reached 220.23 million, accounting for 15.6% of the total population. Against the backdrop of a declining birth rate and rising labor costs, using intelligent devices like care robots to improve the efficiency of elderly care is becoming an inevitable choice.
However, due to cost and safety considerations, general-purpose robots—represented by humanoid robots—remain far from practical application among the elderly. In contrast, applying robotics technology to upgrade and transform traditional assistive products presents a form factor more readily accepted by older adults at a significantly lower cost. Regarding specific needs, companionship, mobility, and toileting assistance are the primary concerns for the 168 million active seniors, 78 million semi-ambulatory seniors, and 34 million seniors with limited mobility, respectively. These issues severely impact the quality of life for the elderly and represent the initial problems that startups in the elderly care robotics sector should prioritize solving.
The proceeds will be primarily used to support the mass production of Deyin Tech's intelligent nursing robots and autonomous wheelchair robots, facilitate product iteration of its AI companion robots, and accelerate the development of its global market channels.
Zhao Chunbo, Founder and CEO of Deyin Tech, stated: "Solex Technology's extensive expertise in global intelligent manufacturing and market channels will perfectly complement Deyin Tech's technological strengths in the smart elderly care robotics sector. This collaboration will significantly accelerate our product mass-production timeline and lay a solid foundation for global market expansion."
Deyin Tech has recently achieved a series of successes. In August this year, the company was selected for the inaugural list of the "Smart Elderly Service Robot Joint Research and Scenario Application Pilot Project," jointly released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. Furthermore, in the Tencent 2025 Silver Tech Partner Program selection, Deyin Tech stood out from nearly 200 enterprises nationwide to secure a spot, obtaining special funding and a range of resource support.
Founded in July 2022 by serial entrepreneur Zhao Chunbo and seasoned professionals from the new energy vehicle and artificial intelligence sectors, Deyin Tech has assembled a highly complementary team with talent from leading institutions like Fudan University and Zhejiang University, supported by academic advisors from Tsinghua University and Shanghai University of Technology.
As one of the few smart elderly care robotics companies in China to achieve commercial product deployment, Deyin Tech has accumulated over 100,000 kilometers of safety testing data in real-world elderly care scenarios. With mass production of nearly a thousand robots imminent, the company has built a comprehensive product matrix addressing three core needs—mobility, nursing, and companionship—for the entire aging population spectrum:
EnviBot Autonomous Wheelchair Robot: The industry's first commercially deployed passenger-carrying autonomous robot, having completed over 100,000 kilometers of safety testing. Equipped with proprietary intelligent navigation, obstacle avoidance, and safety protection systems, it features autonomous path planning, 3D obstacle avoidance, environmental perception, and intelligent interaction—significantly enhancing seniors' mobility independence and safety.

Intelligent Nursing Robot BioLoo: Designed to address the core challenges faced by seniors with limited or no mobility, BioLoo utilizes multi-modal sensing, intelligent somatosensory adjustment, and closed-loop care technologies to automatically detect, clean, dry, and deodorize waste. This significantly reduces the burden on caregivers and lowers the risk of bedsores and infections for bedridden seniors.

AI Companion Robot CareBot: Innovatively integrating affective computing and large language model technologies, CareBot features six core functions including emotional conversation, health monitoring, home safety, and autonomous mobility. Through embodied intelligence, it achieves natural interaction with people and the environment, providing comprehensive, personalized companionship and care for the elderly.
