Hunan NovoMore Biotechnology Co., Ltd. ("NovoMore") recently announced the completion of its Series A financing round, securing tens of millions of yuan.

Founded in August 2022, NovoMore is a high-tech synthetic biology enterprise specializing in the research of plant-based recombinant protein expression technology and product development. The company has built a highly competitive proprietary plant expression platform (pFolia Series). This platform features high-quality plant-derived protein production and purification processes, and can select the optimal protein expression system based on the properties of the target expressed protein.

NovoMore has established an integrated end-to-end technology system that encompasses multifunctional host plant modification, the creation of its proprietary plant expression platform, scalable plant bioreactor production processes, and high-efficiency, high-activity protein purification. Currently, the company has developed four major product systems: high-efficiency raw materials for life science reagents, innovative raw materials for medical aesthetics, unique raw materials for biopharmaceuticals, and CDMO services for plant genetic transformation and protein expression.

Recently, NovoMore has also launched its latest achievement—high-purity recombinant horseradish peroxidase (HRP)—aiming to provide higher-quality, more accessible, and more sustainable solutions for life science research, precision medicine, and industrial applications.

On September 17, 2025, the completion ceremony of NovoMore’s intelligent plant factory was held. In the next step, NovoMore will strive to build a domestically leading and internationally advanced pilot-scale and production base for plant synthetic biology.
